OPTO-MECHANICAL ENGINEER VACANCY
SATLANTIS is looking for an Opto-mechanical Design Engineer profile to:
1) Lead and execute the mechanical design of optical instruments for Space.
2) Manage the project-related documentation.
3) Provide support to systems engineering and project management.
The candidate will coordinate with structural analysts, drafters and workshops for the fabrication of assemblies and parts. The candidate will also be involved in payload integration activities at Satlantis and during testing activities, either at internal or external facilities.
A detailed list of tasks to be performed is provided below. All tasks listed here are not expected to be performed by a single person, but in cooperation with the rest of the team, where responsibilities are assigned based on individual experience and capabilities.
- Definition of opto-mechanical architectures.
- Evaluation of alternatives.
- Mechanical design, considering optical and thermal aspects, using CAD tools
- Mechanical design of fixtures using CAD tools.
- Documentation: calculations, research, analysis, tests, reports, presentations, etc.
- Liaison with clients and suppliers, both national and international.
COLLABORATION WITHIN THE MECHANICS AREA:
- Structural analysis of payloads and fixtures
- Thermal design and analysis
- AIV: Assembly, integration, and verification
- Support in the creation and verification of the Compliance Matrix
- Test procedures and report preparation
- Supervise mechanical and thermal tests in internal and external facilities

Requirements for the position:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in opto-mechanics, ideally in the design of telescopes or medium-sized optical instruments (optics up to 1 meter in diameter).
- Fluent in CAD tools. SolidWorks preferred.
- Experience in dimensional/geometric tolerances.
- Knowledge/Experience in FEM analysis software.
- Knowledge/Experience in thermo-mechanical distortion analysis

R&D&i Project Manager VACANCY
SATLANTIS is looking for a R&D&i Project Manager to join the Customer Delivery team. The candidate will be located at the Company Headquarters in LEIOA (Bizkaia, Spain).
The candidate will be in charge of R&D&i project management tasks, combining multidisciplinary, technical, commercial and communication skills to successfully complete and justify the activities. The projects will cover institutional customers, including European, national and regional R&D&i programs.
A strong understanding of research and innovation actions, detailed description of technological activities involved, and interest in program documentation is required, both internal and in collaboration with other partners.
The project control will be performed in collaboration with the engineering, financial and commercial departments. In addition, a strong support to proposal preparation phase is foreseen. The candidate will directly report to the Director of Customer Delivery.

The specific tasks will include:
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress, for internal use and for project partners, if applicable.
- Maintain updated action item list and risk management.
- Monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including deliverables, reports, meeting agendas and minutes.
- Detail description of technological activities involved, R+D+I oriented, including multidisciplinary technological fields (mechanics, optics, electronics, data processing, applications).

SATLANTIS is looking for an experienced Image Processing profile for the design, development, and tests of a calibration and validation (CalVal) plan of multispectral optical and infrared missions.
The specific tasks will include:
- Derivation and flow down of top-level requirements into specific image processing requirements
- Design and development of end-to-end quality process of satellite mission, including the products and processing scenario definition, the calibration pipeline reaching analysis ready data.

SATLANTIS is looking for an Opto-Mechanical Production Technical profile.
A detailed list of the tasks to be performed is provided below.
- Inspect product quality
Use various techniques to ensure product quality, adhering to quality standards and specifications. Supervise defects, packaging, and product returns to different production departments.
- Record defective manufacturing materials
Maintain records and forms required by the company to report any defective materials or questionable manufacturing conditions of machinery and equipment.
- Clean mechanical and optical components
Clean mechanical and optical components using different techniques such as ultrasonic bath or wipes with isopropanol.
- Interpret assembly blueprints and procedures
Read and interpret blueprints that list all parts and subassemblies of a specific product. The blueprint identifies different components and materials, and procedures provide instructions for assembling a product.
- Assembly
Assemble components through bolted joints, following procedures and using different fixtures and tools.
