SATLANTIS’ headquarters include the main office area, as well as laboratories and equipment necessary for the development of the electronics, mechanics and optics of the payloads.
The laboratories feature 3 certified clean rooms (one ISO 5 and two ISO 6) where the assembly, alignment, integration, verification and quality control of the payloads are undertaken.
The key instrumentation of the laboratories is listed below:
• 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) with a precision of 3 microns.
• Precision optical benches with tuned damping.
• Laser Interferometry and Calibration device.
• Alignment telescope and collimator.
• Thermal-Vacuum chamber (volume of 30 inch3) with optical windows.
• 3D printing machine.
Several components of this infrastructure have been financed under different programs:
- Reindustrialización y Fortalecimiento de la Competitividad Industrial of the Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Turismo del Gobierno de España (Spain Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism).
- GAUZATU of the Departamento de Desarrollo Económico e Infraestructuras del Gobierno Vasco (Basque Government).
